It is with great excitement that Pathways Forensic and Mental Health Services, PLLC announce the addition of Jennifer “Jen” LoStracco, LPC to its list of trusted providers.  Jen comes to Pathways having had multiple years in the mental health field with experience representing a diverse range of services she has provided throughout her career.  Ms. LoStracco is no stranger to private practice having provided individual and family services through Nacogdoches Counseling, PLLC for several years.  Very close to her heart, are the many years she has spent working with school-aged children in the capacities both as a counselor at Cushing ISD for four years and as a counselor for special education children attending the Nacogdoches County co-op.  Ms. LoStracco.  Through her extensive experience in working with children with behavioral problems, emotional disturbance, and Autism, Ms. LoStracco adds a valuable therapeutic resource available to Pathways FMHS clients.  In addition to her work with children, Ms. LoStracco has experience in working with families in divorce crisis, those struggling with addiction issues, and others facing the need to identify, understand, and cope with a wide variety of mental health disorders.  As a trained administrator of ADHD testing, Ms. LoStracco administers TOVA (ADHD) testing and is highly skilled in working with this population of children experiencing symptoms associated with ADHD, particularly through family education, skills training, and treatment planning that flows out of a Functional Behavioral Analysis Assessment.  Originally from Buckhannon, West Virginia, an avid sports fan and participant, Ms. LoStracco earned her Bachelor of  Science in Education with a major in Kinesiology and Special Education from Texas A&M University, Corpus Christy, then earned her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Stephen F. Austin State University.    Currently residing in Nacogdoches, Texas with her husband Jared LoStracco, she is a Mom to two young boys and a lover and collector of animals, including her therapy dog, Speck, whom she has utilized over several years to assist her in helping her child clients in developmental areas such as social skills. Ms. LoStracco stated, “I believe in people’s ability to achieve positive change or improve their lives whether in disposition, behavior, attitude, or perhaps to better understand and manage other, more complex life issues. In either case, I look forward to being a part of helping individuals, couples, families, and children in our community; and I am very excited to do so as part of this Pathways team.”
